Open yourself to possibilities!
I had so much fun with the I Can Do What I Want Challenge! Being silly, joking and playing is so freeing! It helps open me up to possibilities.
With adulthood we often lose our sense of wonder and joy in simple pleasures. We get caught up in the to do’s, the should’s and the scarcity mindset. This shuts us down and leads to feelings of being trapped and stuck. Play helps us get that healthy, optimistic energy flowing!
Trying new things also keeps us flowing and creative, where we remember that wonder we felt in childhood when all things seemed possible. We build confidence to take more risks.
We may say, “I’m too tired,” or “There are wiser ways to use my time,” and I say fie! We need to play, run free, let our imaginations run wild or else we stagnate.
Play helps us be more courageous because we have to let go, surrender, let our guards down to engage in play. Cut loose!
Play helps us realize that there is more fun to be had. We get a taste and inevitably want more.
Sometimes life can be overwhelming and we may lose hope. That’s when it’s most important to rely on simple joys in the moment. Being grateful for sunshine, strawberries, a child’s exuberant laughter, snowflakes and a warm cup of tea.
Sometimes we get stuck and believe that this is all there is. We’re afraid to make the difficult choices and take action. We’re afraid we’ll disappoint others or cause them pain, even though by not taking action we’re in pain and suffering ourselves. The boundaries are blurred, we’re sacrificing ourselves and our truths in order to avoid the unknown, we keep going along with what’s killing us inside. Fear is our comfort zone.
I’ve been there, that’s why when I begin feeling stuck, I take risks, experiment, play, try something different until I figure it out and break free.
We all deserve to be free and living from our deepest truths and doing/being what’s healthiest and most loving for us. Sacrificing our health and sanity in deference to what our family/society expects or coerces is painful and keeps all of us stuck. The same oppressive, traumatizing systems remain in place if we don’t take risks, if we don’t open ourselves to other possibilities, if we don’t speak up, be honest and do what’s right for us.
Playing releases energetic blocks and heightens our awareness. Playing is a tool that helps set us free!
Play helps us choose love as our comfort zone!
Love, especially being loving of ourselves first so we may extend that same love to others keeps us open to possibilities! Love strengthens us, connects us, builds security and confidence so we feel comfortable taking risks.
So happy I was loving of myself and moved to Colorado! Yay!
My dream is to help empower others to do what’s loving of them too! 😀
Love and hugs y’all! <3
