Yes to Fairies

The Logical Heart Knows Best

I can imagine little fairies flitting about in this photo, I love dandelions, the kids used to call them blow me flowers 🙂 I made it out today and got some burnt yellow and magenta mums for the balcony, they were discounted too, yay. I got my daughter’s package sent off too. Now I need to look up and verify addresses to send thank you cards.

The virus is spiking again here in Colorado, sigh.

I try and share interesting ideas on social media that are not inflammatory or promoting harm and it never fails that certain people pop in to make negative and judgemental comments. You never hear from them otherwise, lol, they only chime in when it’s something that rubs them the wrong way.

It’s gotten to the point that I feel like why bother? I don’t post things to be debated, I share them because maybe others may benefit from reading about different perspectives and helpful or innovative ideas. If I see something on someone else’s page and maybe I don’t agree or it’s offensive to me, I don’t go and post disparaging things on their page. It’s called boundaries. Oh well. Whatever, lol. Not gonna waste my energy on that anymore. I keep thinking that people will open their minds and find some common ground, but no. The same old story again and again. It’s tiresome, but not much I alone can do about it, so I let it go.

I love people and wish there was more unity and caring for each other despite our differences. This year has been a doozy. But then maybe it’s always been simmering beneath the surface and now everyone’s showing their true colors more and more over these past few years. I guess the truth is being uncovered. Can’t pretend anymore, lol. I’m staying here in our cozy apartment and will watch from the sidelines.

It’s been therapeutic baking things, getting fun goodies, and mailing them to my daughter. It’s one of my favorite things to do, doting on the kids is the best thing ever. It’s changed as they’ve gotten older, but I still find little silly fun things to get them. Now it’s more sending money so they can get exactly what they want, but I still like to get them cute little things especially when they visit.

I’m also getting a kick out of dancing, playing guitar, and drawing every day. I will keep tending to my health and doing things that help me to stay hopeful, optimistic, engaged, and energized. I say no to poopheads, and yes to fairies lmao.

I’m off to do my last PT exercise and my daily drawing, ttfn.
