Horizontal and Hydration

I stayed awake all day and was vertical for a longer interval, yet I still feel crappy, dang. Thankful I’m making progress though. I watched TV this evening, with no energy for much else. High Maintenance and Xanadu. I’d never seen Xanadu, it’s a fun take your mind off the world kind of movie, made me miss roller skating, lol. I want to watch David Byrne’s American Utopia, but I want to feel better before I watch it so I can enjoy it fully.
Being sick this past week made me think of clients I used to care for in nursing homes. I was so weak and in pain that I didn’t want to get up to use the bathroom and would consider that before I drank anything which is bad because I needed to stay hydrated. Some clients used to do that, now I know how they felt.
I’m going to stay home for the next week too just in case because COVID symptoms are so myriad that who knows, better to be safe and isolate. Plus I don’t want to catch something else while my immune system is already struggling to recover.
I’m feeling more relaxed and confident about the election, now we have to be patient and wait until the votes are finished counting.
Since I’ve been sick and recovering from this stomach bug I haven’t been sharing these blog posts on Facebook as usual. It was sheer will doing these posts when I was so sick that as soon as I was finished I shut the laptop and was eyes closed curled up in bed in the dark again. Plus the posts have had little content and it’s just me whining about being sick, lmao.
Hopefully tomorrow I will feel up to writing something with more substance and will get back to social media. Tonight, it’s time to hydrate some more with no fear of pain or falling. Then back to being horizontal.
