Smack Talk & Blobhood

The Logical Heart Knows Best

I researched how to install an SSD and it looks doable. I may get a new computer as well because Drue’s doing some online work, so it would be nice to have two working computers, one for each of us.

I was writing on another project today and got on a roll, hated to stop, but it was blog time. Nothing much going on here because I’m behaving myself. I finished listening to a book, started another, did PT, normal amount, and watched the last episode of Song Exploder. I love that show! I had a long, hot bath with a book too. It’s always so indulgent, I feel pampered and rejuvenated afterward.

Last night we watched a hilarious movie called The Overnight. It was better than I expected. The prosthetic penises were so realistic, omg, I’m laughing thinking about it. It’s been fun watching so many movies.

It took me forever to pick out a toaster. There are too many choices and all of them have mixed reviews. I settled on one. So it’s done, we’ll soon have a new toaster. Hope it works better than the one we have now. Merry Christmas to us with perfectly toasted bagels!

I opened the balcony sliding glass door and stuck my head out to get some fresh, cool air, shivered and that was enough. It’s all mushy, soggy snow sludge out there (that’s what I tell myself because I am desperate for the outdoors, so I smack talk about it to make it seem less appealing).

I have a breathing test on Monday and see the allergist in a video visit on Christmas Eve. Hopefully, she’ll be able to treat these lingering symptoms I keep having. It’s been too long dealing with this, but I’m thankful it hasn’t been worse. I feel fortunate. I’m so grateful the rest of our family and loved ones have been well.

Fourteen days left. It’s hard to believe time has been so wonky since the pandemic. Perception of time has been fluctuating for me, and I expect for most of us.

I’ve become accustomed to lumpy blobhood. I know there’s a pearl forming in there though. I just have to bide my time wisely while listening to what my body needs and doing my best to give it what it’s asking.

Right now it’s wanting me to wrap it up here and go have a yummy smackerel of something. Then it’s time to snuggle down for some TV watching in bed.
