Lazy Christmas

The Logical Heart Knows Best

What a relaxing day! The least stressful Christmas ever. The kids and I Skyped this afternoon for a long while. We opened our gifts and tried them on. We laughed at my daughter’s adorable cat and were thankful we could visit online and that we are all doing well.

For a treat, I watched Mothra vs Godzilla. Those old Godzilla movies are campy fun! Afterward, I had a nap, and then it was blog time.

I love the colorful Bombas socks the kids got me for Christmas. the sock company donates a pair of socks for every pair they sell. Cool! They also got me a money tree plant. My daughter’s gift didn’t arrive, no telling when it will, the post office is behind, especially where she lives.

Six more days left of daily blogging for this year, yay!

What a lazy day I’ve had. The coconut pie I made yesterday was delicious, I had two pieces today, plus chocolate chip cookies too. I cooked nothing today after all, and that was fine by me!

My assignment was to look for a movie for us to watch tonight. There are so many movies! I googled what to watch and wrote some movies down to choose from. I want to watch Tenet, but I don’t think it’s available to rent yet, it’s buy only.

I feel relaxed, peaceful, and happy. I am grateful despite the challenges we’ve faced during the pandemic. We’re fortunate so far, and I choose to trust that everything will continue to be okay.

This year has not been what we’re used to, but we’ve adapted and pulled through. Everything we took for granted pre-pandemic is even more precious now. It’s deepened my appreciation for life and our loved ones. Knowing that everything can change in an instant will be in my consciousness, so I will take more risks and live more daringly and fully. I will linger over and savor the moments in a way that I couldn’t before.

I’m optimistic that our world will have changed for the better. When we are looking back, we will see positive growth in response to the adversity of the pandemic.

Time for me to finish my assignment and decide what movie we’re watching before Drue gets home! I still have some PT left to do too! I loved this lazy Christmas, but I will be so thrilled to travel and spend precious time with loved ones again! I’m hoping 2021 will be a year where we can travel again!
