Yippee-Ki-Yay!

The Logical Heart Knows Best

Two more days! Yippee-Ki-Yay! I finished listening to/reading a hundred books, but I’m gonna listen to four more because some of those were summaries, so don’t really count. In two days, I will finish the blogging and reading challenges!

This evening I baked Asian Pear Crisp for the first time. I’m taking it out of the oven now. Mmmm, it smells yummy! I’ve stocked black-eyed peas and cabbage, ready to cook on New Year’s day! We’re all set to ring in the New Year!

I haven’t eaten supper yet. Time has gotten away from me. I still want to bathe too. I got sidetracked listening to books, baking, and checking the mail. I forgot there was snow out there and was careful to avoid slippery ice patches. I’ve been fortunate so far with no icy mishaps yet since we moved to Colorado. I walk in the snowy, crunchy places and that seems to be safe.

I listened to Annihilation today. Now I want to read the others in the series. I also listened to What Now? That was a quick one.

I journaled today for a change. I’ve only journaled seven times since July. During the first half of the year, I journaled almost every day. I’ve been enjoying the quiet and space to just be without the noise of journaling. I haven’t felt the need to journal very often during the second half of this year.

It’s been increasingly more peaceful for me, inside and out. I want this peace to continue in the New Year too. We’ll be keeping things simple around here, as much as possible.

I want to eat and get a bath in, so I’m cutting this short again. Two more days!
