
Body Image and Eating Disorders
I’ve struggled during my life with body image issues and disordered eating. In adulthood, I’ve worked hard and finally have a healthier relationship with food and a more positive body image. With social media, there’s even more pressure to attain perfection. I wish this would change because it causes needless harm. I look back and think what a waste of energy obsessing over my weight, diets, and physical appearance. Realizing we are more than our bodies and embracing our inherent worth is a first step to making healthy changes.
