Lowering Expectations

The Logical Heart Knows Best

What do you think about lowering your expectations in a relationship? Are there any reasonable expectations, or do we accept someone not pulling their weight because they don’t like or want to step up and work together towards common goals? Why isn’t it a reasonable expectation that people grow, mature, evolve, and change for the better towards self-actualization? Relationships are reciprocal, so there are some expectations that can not be lowered or you will be taken advantage of, taken for granted, and exploited. If they do not meet these reasonable expectations, then it’s time to reconsider your relationship.
