Power Comes From Within

The Logical Heart Knows Best

We all want power and control over our lives. The most power we have is over our awareness, plus how we are being, thinking, and responding. To do what’s loving and healthy for ourselves, we sometimes have to disappoint others, which is painful. We have to do what’s right for us. Even though we don’t want to hurt others, sometimes there’s just no avoiding it. We have a responsibility to be true to ourselves. Does it make sense to sacrifice and hurt yourself because you don’t want to cause pain for another? What about your pain? Aren’t you equally deserving? Each of us is responsible for being loving of ourselves first because we’re the only ones who know what’s going on inside us. Our true power comes from within. Through our awareness/consciousness and what we are thinking, feeling, being, and doing.
