The Logical Heart Knows Best

There are always things that will irritate us, but it’s up to us to choose what’s worth disturbing our peace. Otherwise, we relinquish our power by allowing irritations to control our moods and perspectives. We can stop, take inventory and choose to let go of things that are beyond our control. We can prioritize what’s important enough to warrant our continued frustration. We can make cognitive shifts that benefit us. We claim our power by wisely choosing our battles and accepting that there are some things that are irritating, yet we can’t change them, so why let it get to us?
