The Logical Heart Knows Best

Whenever I have challenging experiences, I look for deeper meaning. What is this teaching me, how is this growing me, what can I gain from this? Sometimes, I can’t find any value or meaning in the adversity. It is random and senseless. Other times I can see the hidden value, especially in hindsight. I question, asking what can I do differently now. Would other choices make any difference? Sometimes, yes, other times, I realize some things are random and out of our control. Being chronically ill with Long COVID has helped me let go, trust, accept and be more compassionate/non-judgmental. But mostly it’s allowed me to realize my inherent worthiness and the intrinsic value of all life. We are all inherently worthy. Life is precious and you can not place a value on it. We all deserve to be loved, respected and cared for. All our lives are equally valuable, no matter our abilities or qualities. #LongCOVID
