Aging and Discernment

The Logical Heart Knows Best

Something I love about being older is my ability to discern what’s important and worth my energy. Looking back on my life, I see how much pain I went through wasting my efforts on insignificant things. I believed things that weren’t true, agonized over reaching perfection, and was ashamed of my physical appearance, and minor mistakes I made. Now I know it was nonsense. But I didn’t know any better back then.

It’s even worse for young people now, with all the pressure to conform and bullying made worse by social media. I wish I could distill my elder wisdom and give it to those struggling younger people to save them the pain of feeling bad about themselves for no good reason!

No one needs to feel bad about themselves for being who they are?

What matters is honoring yourself, enjoying your life, and doing what’s right for you. Who cares what anybody else thinks of you?

You have a right to be here. You have a right to autonomy over your body and your life. Everyone should have the freedom to live as they wish as long as they’re not hurting others. It’s nobody else’s business. I wish I could help change things and empower people so they may live more freely and authentically from a younger age. Unfortunately, there is a tremendous backlash now. It’s more vital than ever to educate ourselves and advocate for equal rights and freedoms. ♡

To take the high road, you must get yourself to the solid ground of the logical heart first. This begins with you and your relationship with yourself. I can help empower you to choose what’s most loving of YOU.
